An independent general-news publication for readers who want the facts, the context and a clear statement of what is still unknown.
keithcornick.my.id is a small, independent newsroom covering general news in English. We publish across five sections: Breaking News, Politics & Government, Business & Economy, Technology & Innovation, and Lifestyle & Society.
The site began in 2024 as a clipping file for stories that were being reported badly: a port closure reduced to a photo, a budget fight reduced to a slogan, a technology launch reduced to a press release. We kept the primary documents, added the context that was missing, and published the result. That is still the method.
We are not a wire service. We do not publish every update. We choose a small number of stories each week and try to explain them properly, with dates, numbers and links to the record.
Every story starts with a primary source: a document, a dataset, a schedule, a filing, or a person with direct knowledge. We name what we can verify and label what we cannot. When a claim comes from a single unnamed source, we say so and explain why the source is credible.
We use external links to the original material so readers can check us. We do not use links to sponsored content as sourcing. We do not accept payment for coverage, and no advertiser sees a story before publication.
Corrections are published on the story itself. If a correction changes the substance of a story, we note it in the text and update the modified date. We do not quietly rewrite the record.
keithcornick is edited by a small desk of reporters and editors with backgrounds in wire reporting, trade journalism and data work. Our contributors include Marcus Feld (shipping and trade), Priya Nair (politics), Sofia Lindqvist (economics), Rina Patel (technology), Amara Boyd (society) and Elena Voss (climate and cities).
Freelance pitches are welcome. We pay for published work and we do not ask for free labour on spec.
The publication is funded by its own audience and by non-disruptive display advertising. We do not run pay-to-rank lists, affiliate-first buying guides or sponsored articles presented as news. If that changes, it will be labelled clearly on the page.
Corrections, tips and story pitches go to [email protected]. We reply within one business day. For sensitive material, say so in the first line and we will arrange a safer channel.
